Thursday madness

Work is out of control today. The French Health Authority and I are not getting along, and I have a completely unreasonable time frame in which to respond to a query that usually requires 6 weeks of research. (I get 1 week) I think I might have had too much caffeine as well. But the good news is that this weekend I'm going to a friend's wedding in Plymouth, MA. Can't wait. It'll be good to see all the folks there, and we're staying in a hotel directly on the beach. Love that great Atlantic smell. One of the things I miss most about New England is the saline smell of the ocean that is ever present near the coast. For my office at work, I have one of the Yankee candle electric smelly thingies and the scent we currently are using is "Sun and Sand". It is soothing my brain somewhat.

OK, so you're forgiven for your lack of posts lately since you're swamped and stressed at work. Have fun at the wedding! We'll just all be here sweltering in the heat.

Thank you for my sweet little rooster! He is too cute. I have named him Rev. Joe (I have no idea, it just sounds good for a regal looking rooster) and he is in the curio cabinet as we speak. James really wants Rev. Joe so I had to put him up. The boys loved the kits and Abbie has already done her nails. (we just got the box yesterday). The glow sticks were a big hit too. The kids turned off all the lights in the house and ran around the house waving them and throwing them. It made me nauseaus. I would have sent them outside, but it was raining. They loved them though!

I'm an RN who has done a variety of stuff including pediatric trauma, US Navy Nurse Corps, etc. I have way too many dogs, but love them all. I've lived all over the place, but my heart is in New England. My retirement goal is to live in Vermont and raise sheep.
