Flower.

So, I've been posting lately about my freak-dog, Killian. Killian is a pure-bred Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog. His coat is very short and looks like you threw chocolate-chip cookie dough all over him. He's super sweet, super neurotic, and an all-around good dog. He is different from other dogs, in that he doesn't enjoy things that smell bad. He carefully tiptoes around other dog poop on walks and by the expression on his face you can tell he's clearly disgusted that his fellow canines would deposit such a thing near the public sidewalk. If you take a fabric softener sheet and put it on the floor for him he will immediately, and with great fervor and joy, throw himself onto it and rub the fresh scent all over his fur so he'll smell good. This is different than the dachshund, who looks for dead, decaying things to roll in.
So, I look out in the backyard a few days ago and spy Killian doing the total body flop, full-out rolling his entire body on something on the ground. Totally out of character behavior. I say to Keri, "what in the world is he doing - he NEVER rolls on stinky things." Then I traipse out there to see what the damage is, picturing an egg fallen from a nest, or something horrid, dreading giving him a bath later.
Flowers. He was rolling on flowers. Sweet smelling flowers.

he fits in this family wonderfully! We rarely do things in the norm!
