Typically Autumn is my favorite season, closely followed by Winter. Today, parts of Pennsylvania are getting the best of both, thanks to the first Nor'easter. Raining and windy where I am, leaves flying everywhere, that fresh smell in the air, oh, and it's COLD. But in State College, PA, where my daughter is, it's snowing. Ahhhhhhh. This is good for so many reasons. One is that today at work has been heinously atrocious. If I didn't know any better I'd think I was on candid camera - that bad. But tonight I get to go home, cuddle up either in my big puffy chair with a blanket, book and dog, or in bed with several dogs, a book, and hot cocoa. Maybe I'll even add peppermint schnapps to the hot cocoa. (contented sigh) AND I'll put on some fluffy socks....
Tomorrow is Friday - I can make it through that. Then we plan on getting and carving our pumpkins on Saturday. So many choices. So many patterns. We also plan on baking cupcakes with our 3 year old neighbor, and decorating them like spiders because he mother is afraid of them. Evil, perhaps, but entertaining.
Well. This is awkward.

Stay in and keep warm!!!
We received the books you sent! Thank you!
You won't believe it but James is the one fascinated with the anatomy book. We look at the pictures together and talk about the different parts of the body. Mark says maybe he will end up being a doctor and buy him a bass boat.
He also enjoys looking at the naked people and saying "They are nekkkid momma nekkkid"
You know, I was wondering about the nekkid people. I figured it would stimulate some interesting conversation in any case. Beats National Geographic....but that's another story....
